About Us
SCADVS is an affiliate of the American Society of Directors of Volunteers Services of the American Hospital Association, dedicated to the professional and career needs of volunteer management. SCADVS is one of three regional chapters in the state of California. Formed in 1960, membership is open to individuals employed in volunteer services management in hospitals accredited by The Joint Commission and duly licensed Health Service organizations.
Our mission is to provide an organized structure which advances and develops effective volunteer services administration in healthcare organizations. We offer a wide range of professional development and networking opportunities to meet the needs of its members. We accomplish this by educational meetings, visiting rounds, mentor groups including gift shop and student.
