With decreasing hospital budgets and increasing delivery costs, volunteers play a crucial role in the delivery of healthcare services today. Administering an effective volunteer program takes experience, knowledge of current trends in volunteerism, an understanding of best practices in the field, information about current state and federal laws pertaining to volunteers, and leadership skills.
SCADVS offers a forum for the exchange of information and ideas, and provides a medium for the development of professional skills through educational meetings, conferences and workshops.
